- UC Irvine’s Brian Payne and Su Wang will share lessons learned after transitioning from a home-built learning management system to one hosted by Canvas.
- UC Riverside’s Robert Bottomley and Ross French will reveal how UCR overhauled its online newsroom back-end, front-end, and database, rethinking the traditional newsroom concept.
- Deborah Osae-Oppong of UC San Diego’s Jacobs School of Engineering will speak about social media best practices and the Jacobs’ School’s popular #ILookLikeAnEngineer campaign.
- UC Santa Barbara’s Logan Franken will discuss using open-source frameworks, tools, libraries and APIs in higher-education application systems.
The HighEdWeb Association is a national organization of web professionals working at institutions of higher education (developers, designers, site managers, and marketing / communications staff). HighEdWeb hosts a large national conference each fall, plus three smaller, regional conferences over the summer.
