Cybersecurity Across UC is a new UC Tech News series highlighting how we are all strengthening cybersecurity, advancing privacy, and managing digital risk across the University. Through these stories, we’ll showcase the people, partnerships, and innovations that are helping build a more resilient UC.

The new series will explore topics such as digital risk; privacy; policy; cybersecurity tips and trends; vendor, cloud, and AI security; and human risk management, with a focus on helping UC employees learn from each other, connect with one another, and stay informed about cybersecurity projects and initiatives across UC.

The Work Behind the Series

Cybersecurity, privacy, and digital risk are constantly evolving—and so is the University of California’s approach to protecting the people, research, and information that power our mission.

Across the system, teams are moving beyond awareness to strategic action. From collaborative privacy initiatives to new approaches for managing cyber risk, UC is investing in solutions that strengthen our collective resilience while fostering collaboration across locations and with peers throughout higher education.

This series will spotlight the ideas and accomplishments that are shaping UC’s digital future.  We’ll share stories that reflect the innovation and commitment to excellence that define cybersecurity and privacy across the University.

We invite you to follow Cybersecurity Across UC as we celebrate progress, share lessons learned, and continue building a more secure future together.

Kicking it Off

We’re excited to announce that Pegah Parsi, Chief Privacy Officer, UC San Diego, will be kicking off our series in August with “Four Privacy Considerations that Make AI Worth Bringing to Campus.”
