Posted by Mark Cruz, Application Delivery Support Services Manager, UCOP. UC is holding its annual IT professionals conference this August at UCR. The University of California Computing Services Conference (UCCSC) brings computing professionals together from all UC campuses to showcase computer innovation, share successes, offer tips, and discuss technology trends. The UCCSC is open to all UC faculty and staff with an interest in technology. It’s a great way to meet IT colleagues, explore ideas for collaboration, and learn how different campuses address common IT challenges.
In previous years, some of the topics included research data, IT service management, cloud computing, web strategies, and security. This year, a track on instructional design has been added. UC’s annual Larry L. Sautter Awards for Innovation in Information Technology, sponsored by the UC IT Leadership Council, will be announced at the conference as well.
A tradition since 1982, the conference is held at a different UC campus each year. This year’s UCCSC is expected to draw over 300 IT professionals from across the UC system. You don’t want to miss it, so register by July 6!
