By Thomas Trappler. UC Systemwide Procurement is pleased to announce a new UC-wide Private Pricing Addendum (PPA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Effective January 1, 2023, this Addendum increases and extends existing discounts as detailed below.
These improvements are the result of the ongoing successful partnership between the UC IT community and UC Systemwide Procurement. Associated agreement documents are available in CalUsource as Contract #UCOP-19.
Benefits to UC
UC locations working together achieved these contract benefits:
- Increased discounts on AWS cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) product through 12/31/27
- Significant projected financial benefit, UC-wide, during the 5-year term
- Available to all UC locations
Discount process
To receive these discounts, your AWS account must be linked to one of UC’s designated Eligible Payer Accounts. If your AWS account is already linked, then no further action is needed, the additional discounts will be automatically applied. If you are not already receiving these discounts for your UC AWS spend, and would like to, then please contact your local AWS Coordinator, as listed below.
