By Jeané Blunt. With 732 attendees, UCTech 2019 at UC Santa Barbara was the largest ever in the history of the conference!
The largest group of attendees – 130 – came from UC Santa Barbara itself. UC Davis came in second with 82 attendees, and UC San Diego came in third with 80 attendees.
165 sessions were offered across 8 tracks. There was one brand new track on project management – “Planning and Managing IT Investments.” Two tracks focused on the workforce: “Diversifying IT Culture” and “Promoting Growth and Retention in IT.”
UC IT collaboration reached new heights at the conference, with 88 more people joining UCTech Slack and 126 subscribing to the UC IT Blog.
With so many new attendees, sessions, and special events – it’s no wonder that UCTech has quickly become the premiere event for UC IT staff. You can get a feel for it when you watch the UCTech 2019 video.
Thank you to everyone who organized it, and everyone who attended. We look forward to seeing you next year at UCLA!
