By Bill Buchanan. Mark your calendar: UC Davis has scheduled the 10th biennial Information Security Symposium for June 15-16, 2021.
Security and technical professionals and administrators from throughout the University of California, as well as guests from other California state universities and state agencies, are invited to attend two days of talks, labs, and discussions on topics involving cybersecurity and privacy.
2021 Theme
The UC Davis Information Security office has presented the symposium every other year since 2003. In 2019 the event drew more than 500 people.
The theme for 2021 is “Adapt” – a continuing priority as UC campuses adjust to security, operating, and technological changes caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. All events will be virtual.
Call for Proposals
It’s not too soon to start thinking of ideas for lectures or labs that you’d like to present. The program committee expects to call for proposals in February 2021. Registration will open near the start of April 2021.
For more information, see the ISS Symposium website. If you have questions, comments, or ideas for proposals, please contact the planning committee at iss2021@ucdavis.edu.
