Register now for the UC Cyber Summit at UC Riverside on October 24. Seats are filling up fast for this popular biannual event.
The summits are hosted by the UC Cyber-Risk Coordination Center to provide continuing education and networking for the UC cybersecurity community.
Everyone at UC has a role to play in supporting cybersecurity and many of the session topics are pertinent to the broader UC community as well. The summit planners also seek to offer unique insights into cybersecurity. “We try to present a holistic approach to cyber-risk management,” said David Rusting, the UC system chief information security officer.
For example, a keynote on improving cybersecurity through diversification of the workforce will be given by Camille Crittenden, deputy director of CITRIS and the Banatao Institute. Another session by two leaders at UC’s cyber insurance broker, Marsh, will explore the increasing importance of cyber insurance in organizations’ cybersecurity plans.
The summit will be held on the UCR campus and registration is free to the UC community.
