EVENTS: Juneteenth Celebrations for Black Staff and Faculty Organization at UCOP – All Welcome

This is a promotional flyer for the Black Staff & Faculty Organization’s (BSFO) Juneteenth 2025 Celebration Series, themed “Looking Back to Move Forward.” The series runs June 16–24, 2025, and features educational, cultural, and service-oriented events. Event details include:

  • Juneteenth Outreach: Volunteer opportunities at St. Vincent de Paul in Oakland, CA on June 10 and 14, 8:30am–1:00pm PT. A QR code links to registration.
  • History of Juneteenth: A Zoom talk with Althenia Rodney on June 16, 12:00–1:00pm PT.
  • Black Fraternities & Sororities Panel: Featuring Tirrell Muhammad, Dena Bullard, Johari Leaks, and Frederic Roots II on June 17, 12:00–1:00pm PT.
  • Diving With a Purpose: A virtual presentation by Dr. Kamau Sadiki on June 18, 12:00–1:00pm PT.
  • West African Dance Class: Led by Tiye Garrett of Kuumba LLC on June 24, 12:00–1:00pm PT, held at Franklin Roof Garden (5th floor).
