The UC IT Town Hall was held October 19, 2020. Over 400 attendees joined remotely from around the UC system.
Mark Cianca, Interim UC CIO, opened the session to welcome attendees. Eugene Whitlock, UC Berkeley chief people and culture officer, and assistant vice chancellor for Human Resources, was the featured speaker. He spoke about cultivating inclusion and belonging during a pandemic.
Dr. Christopher Longhurst, CIO and associate chief medical officer at UCSD Health, talked about the rollout and pilot expansion of the UC Exposure Notification System to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Vince Kellen, chair of the UC IT Leadership Council (ITLC) and UCSD CIO, gave an ITLC update.
