Posted by Tom Andriola, UC CIO. UC competes for IT talent with the most innovative technology firms in California. And so recruitment can be an ongoing challenge for CIOs and their managers. But UC is a very attractive place to work, and IT jobs at UC are competitive and rewarding – they offer a variety of work, the latest technologies and processes, a commitment to professional development, and the chance to participate in the rich academic and cultural life of the University. The Office of Information Technology at UCI tells that story to job seekers in its new recruitment video, “Working at OIT.”

your captioning is awesome
Thank you! We were able to get the transcript from the talented folks who created the video and use YouTube’s captioning tool to fine tune it. We wanted to make sure it was accessible to all.
Your team does a lot! Really only 7 full timers? Very nice video, well done! How long did it take to produce? I guess you have all those film folks at UCI! Saw some familiar faces from the latest UCCSC!
Marisa, we certainly feel that the 7 OIT staff on the video represent our full compliment of around 327 Office of Information Technology employees. The video did take a number of months and a lot of effort, but having the “film folks” prepare and produce was invaluable. So glad you found it informative and interesting. Happy to share more details if you would like.
Just an outstanding job!
Thank you Matt. We plan on doing at least another to provide additional perspectives.
