Testimonials from past UC Tech presenters
The UC Tech Conference is a great place to share your work with a wider audience and connect with people working on the same problems you face every day. Here’s what past presenters are saying:
- “Presenting ‘How Long Until the Robots are Teaching?’ at UC Tech 2022 was a great opportunity to share ideas and network with UC system colleagues. Highly recommended!” — Jeffrey Williams, Tech Lead on the bConnected team, Berkeley IT
- “UC Tech, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways: Providing public-speaking opportunities; Exploring other UC campuses that are new to me; Connecting informally with other UC techies in-person; Celebrating the 2019 Sautter Golden Award by the Siteimprove implementation project; Strengthening relationships with my peers from the systemwide UC Electronic Accessibility Committee members.” — Jill Wolters, Web Standards Program Manager, UCSF IT Web Services
- “I have been going to UC Tech, aka UCCSC, since 2014 and it’s something I look forward to every year. Not only to be able to present on a number of topics but most importantly to be with everyone from all the UC campuses, labs, and medical centers. I have made tons of friends from all over who have helped me with what I was working on and have given me an extended group of peers, plus some great memories. Presenting and/or attending the sessions, the learning experiences, the training, and the partnerships are priceless.” — Laurie Graham, Senior Manager of the Data Management team, Berkeley IT
- “The UC Tech conference offers so much in terms of learning and networking. Being in a communications role within IT can be extremely challenging yet rewarding. Presenting at UC Tech has allowed me to showcase my work and demonstrate the important role communications and outreach play in our digital landscape. Throughout the years, I have been able to help technologists better understand this. I have also been able to connect with a wider network of peers because of UC Tech.” — Tanya Jansen, Communications Lead UCSF IT
What happens after I submit a proposal?
After we receive all proposal submissions on Feb. 21, the review and selection process will start with a goal of having this work finalized by the end of March. Reviewers will only see the title, description, track, session format, and delivery method of the presentation proposal, no other identifying information will be included.
