By Kristin Cordova. The UC Tech Academy: IT Leadership Program prepares emerging IT leaders from across the University of California (UC) to become more effective leaders, as agents of innovation and change management. Courses are taught by UC Berkeley Haas School of Business faculty to cohorts of employees who are in tech careers, or support those in technology, at the university. The program consists of two three-day sessions, several months apart. Participants also complete group projects between these two sessions. The program, which occurs every 18 months, graduates about 30 technology leaders who support one another in their careers, while contributing to the broader vision of digital transformation at the university. The process for candidate selection is managed locally by each CIO Council member. For those interested in being nominated or learning more about candidate selection, please contact your location’s CIO Council member. We hope you enjoy learning about the 2024 program, below. Please visit the UC Tech Academy: IT Leadership Program landing page to learn more about the history of the program.
