Register to attend the Labor and Automation in California Agriculture: Equity, Productivity & Resilience with Tom Harmon webinar on February 17 at 12 pm. Tom Harmon is a professor and director of the UC Merced Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the Sierra Nevada Research Institute.
This presentation will introduce an exciting new research effort by a team with participants from the UC Merced, Berkeley, Davis, and Riverside campuses and UC Agriculture and Natural Resources. California is an agriculturally rich state, yet its food system remains vulnerable to climate change, regulatory change, water availability, labor shortages, and unexpected disturbances. To create a sustainable agri-food system, a new model for agricultural technology (AgTech) is needed.
This webinar is part of the CITRIS Research Exchange Spring 2021 Seminar Series.
