By Shannon Prior. On December 12, hundreds of innovators and change champions will converge at the University of California, San Diego, for the second annual Process Palooza conference.
Launched in 2017, the event is a chance to compete, learn, and initiate a practice of change. This year the movement extends an open invitation to all University of California campuses.
Logistics
Co-hosted by UCSD IT Services and Extension, this year’s conference is set for Wednesday, December 12, at the UCSD Price Center.
Anyone employed by the UC system is invited to attend at no cost, with UC alumni invited for $30 and community members invited for $40.
Conference highlights
- The Great LLS Race, a fast-paced competition to improve actual business processes using Lean Six Sigma principles
- Keynote address from Rachael Nava, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Staff to the President, University of California
- Workshop tracks focusing on continuous improvement in higher education and business
- Networking, vendor fair, and lots of fun!

“Process Palooza is an outgrowth of UC San Diego’s strategic planning process and our desire to develop a shared vision around solutions to our major challenges. It’s an engaging event of ideas, competitions and speakers,” said UC San Diego Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla. “I encourage everyone to attend Process Palooza and join in the continuous improvement movement sweeping campus.”
