By Julie Goldstein. UC recently signed a new systemwide partnership agreement with STOP. THINK. CONNECT.™ , which describes itself as a “global online safety awareness campaign to help all digital citizens stay safer and more secure online.”
By becoming a STOP. THINK. CONNECT.™ partner, UC joined more than 700 organizations worldwide making a difference in online safety and cybersecurity. Several UC locations, as well as the systemwide Information Security Awareness Workgroup, were already using STOP. THINK. CONNECT.™ resources, so a systemwide agreement seemed a logical next step. The agreement allows any UC location to use, modify, and co-brand STOP. THINK. CONNECT.’s™ materials, within the limits of the partner agreement (which generally requires appropriate attribution, a positive educational message, and correct usage of the wordmark and logo).
The partnership agreement provides a great new source of ready-to-use-or-customize materials to support UC’s information security awareness efforts.
UC locations interested in using STOP. THINK. CONNECT.’s™ materials should contact their systemwide Information Security Awareness Workgroup representative for information and terms of use. Locations without a workgroup rep may contact the UCOP reps for assistance. Contact information is available on the systemwide Information Security Awareness website.
