The UC Tech Awards Program celebrates individuals and teams in the UC tech community who have contributed in areas of strategic importance to the university. The UC IT Leadership Council created the program 23 years ago when an innovation award was named after Larry L. Sautter. Today, the program has grown to seven awards ranging from design, IT security, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives (listed below). Winners of the 2024 UC Tech Awards Program will be announced at the UC Tech Conference at UC Davis on Monday, October 28, 2024 (See other key deadlines in the infographic).
2024 UC Tech Awards Timeline
- May 1, 2024 at 5 p.m. applications are due
- Around June 15, 2024, winners will be notified
- Monday, October 28, 2024, winners will be publicly acknowledged during an awards ceremony

To apply or nominate a colleague or team for the UC Tech Awards Program, please submit a form by Tuesday, May 1 at 5 p.m. You/your nominee will receive recognition for your/their professional achievements which will be shared with UC tech colleagues, including senior leaders, as well as the larger UC community.
