Date: Thursday, November 9, 2017
Time: Noon – 1:00pm
Description: There has been a lot of conflicting research as to whether telecommuting is good or bad for an organization. It always comes down to “it depends” on many different factors. Join us for a conversation on determining if telecommuting is right for your group, management and tools for a mixed environment, and strategies you can use to convince, encourage, and accept telecommuting as an alternative to a typical work schedule. This was a UCCSC session and I will be incorporating that conversation and feedback into this webinar.
Presenter: Tim Marconi is the IT operations manager for the library at UC San Diego. He has been with the university for almost 13 years in various roles and has been a “one day a week” telecommuter in almost all of them. Tim has an M.S. in information technology management and did research in managing remote and virtual teams.
