Did you know that UC has hundreds of radiofrequency licenses with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)? We license all kinds of equipment, from student radio stations, to police and emergency communications radios, to research facilities… Join this webinar and learn about how UC uses its radiofrequencies, as well as the systemwide coordination function here at UCOP. Presenting are UC’s FCC coordinator, Connie Geraghty, along with Sandra Wasson, general manager of UCB’s KALX radio station, which has been in operation for over 50 years! By the way, the photo is of one of our research vessels, the Roger Revelle, operated by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego. Yes, it requires an FCC license for some of its equipment. Webinar logistics are below. The session also will be recorded and posted on the UCOP ITS website.
